Representation

The movie opener shows two young adults in a relationship, a wife and her husband. The husband is a Formula 1 driver, which represents ambition, danger, and a fast-paced lifestyle. The wife is at home making coffee, which shows a calmer and more relaxed role. This creates a clear difference between the two characters and how they live. In terms of representation, this can be a little common because the male is shown doing something exciting and risky, while the female is shown in a more traditional home role. But  the film also challenges representation through the wife’s emotional reaction. Instead of being just a background character, she becomes the main focus of the scene. When she gets the phone call from Chris telling her about her husband’s crash, we see her shock and denial. This gives her more depth and shows that she is more than just a supporting character. It shows real emotions like sadness, disbelief, and loss.  A strong visual example is when the phone dr...

Final story board

Overall in our film there was major changes from adding more people to the film from taking out some scenes to make the short film at least 2 minutes or shorter. We’ve changed how yaidelis gives the coffee to gustavo because we felt like the film needed to stay on its meaning of being rushed so gustavo can make it to his race on time. Another thing we’ve changed was yaidelis walking out of the camera during the kitchen scene to make it seem like she's walking out to the living room. and Lastly we didn't add our ending of the film like we said we would with Chris giving the cookies to Yaidelis and Mr curry announcing the race with all the other f1 drivers. The reason to this was because as we were creating the film there was difficulties keeping the film at 2 minutes and if we added those small parts the film would be over 2 minutes. And as well as theres was multiple times where we couldn't meet with Chris due to distance from houses.

Editing 2

        1.  2.  3.  Fonts that Iv'e used in the short film was the same New times Roman written in bold type letters.  4.  While editing some pieces of the short film we decided to use one video effect which was speeding up a part of a clip to make the clip more fast forward and help the audience get a hint that the video meaning is to be rushed.   5.  While recording we used over the shoulder, pan, low angle, stedicam, and fast/slow paced editing  6.  So far there wasn't any audio effects that were added to the film. 7.  Some problems that were encountered during editing was over adding the audio over another audio, because the original video we added to CapCut didn't sound to original to the one we recorded, and the audio was delayed.  8.  Some solutions we've created to the problem we encountered was fixing the audio and copying the sound and adding it to the clip to sound original.  9.  While e...

Editing 1

Image
 1.   2.  3.  In the film we used bright lighting and dim in some cuts. The font for the title was written in bold new times roman.  4.  There wasn’t any video effects we’ve used in the short film.  5.  in the video some transitions we used were Pan, low angle, and lastly over the shoulder 6. Some video effects used in our film were mostly just pretty rapid cuts and shots, showing us that the character is in a hurry. 7.  I would say some problems i have encountered while filming were keeping the camera still without having a selfie/ tripod. Another problem would be meeting up to create the film.  8. We have fixed most problems we’ve encountered while filming by buying a tripod that is 360 and rotates itself.   9.  Total amount i have spend editing was 2 hours almost 3  10. The people involved with editing is Yaidelis and Gustavo  11.  A disscusioin we have had was adding additional props and movements t...
