Representation

The movie opener shows two young adults in a relationship, a wife and her husband. The husband is a Formula 1 driver, which represents ambition, danger, and a fast-paced lifestyle. The wife is at home making coffee, which shows a calmer and more relaxed role. This creates a clear difference between the two characters and how they live. In terms of representation, this can be a little common because the male is shown doing something exciting and risky, while the female is shown in a more traditional home role. But  the film also challenges representation through the wife’s emotional reaction. Instead of being just a background character, she becomes the main focus of the scene.  Overall in our film there was major changes from adding more people to the film from taking out some scenes to make the short film at least 2 minutes or shorter. We’ve changed how yaidelis gives the coffee to gustavo because we felt like the film needed to stay on its meaning of being rushed so gustavo can make it to his race on time. Another thing we’ve changed was yaidelis walking out of the camera during the kitchen scene to make it seem like she's walking out to the living room. and Lastly we didn't add our ending of the film like we said we would with Chris giving the cookies to Yaidelis and Mr curry announcing the race with all the other f1 drivers. The reason to this was because as we were creating the film there was difficulties keeping the film at 2 minutes and if we added those small parts the film would be over 2 minutes. And as well as theres was multiple times where we couldn't meet with Chris due to distance from houses.
